Are these companies guilty? You decide!

The products labels are often green in colour, and feature leaves, flowers or a smiling planet earth. Words like natural, green, organic, and fair-trade are bandied about, but what do they really mean? If the product is organic, who's certifying it to be so? If the service is now "greener", who says so, and by what standards?

With the environment top of mind, many companies are taking advantage of consumers by engaging in "greenwashing" - the deceptive use of PR or marketing in order to promote a misleading perception that a company's policies or products are environmentally friendly.

Posted here are inquiries to a variety of organizations, questioning their claims, along with their responses. Is it greenwash, or are their products and practices actually making a difference for our planet? You decide.
